Pre-listing Zephyrhills roof wash.

We completed a shingle roof wash in Zephyrhills, FL for a homeowner who was preparing their house to go on the market. The roof had visible organic growth across the shingles, and the homeowner wanted the surface cleaned and restored before listing the property.

Matt's Pressure Washing LLC inspected the roof to verify the extent of growth and confirm that a soft cleaning approach was appropriate for the shingle material. Rather than aggressive scraping or high pressure, we used a chemical treatment designed to safely remove biological staining while preserving the shingles.

For this project we treated the roof with our sodium hyperchloride solution. The solution is formulated to kill and remove algae, moss, lichen, and other organic growth that discolors, degrades and can hold moisture against shingles. We applied the solution across the affected areas so it could act on the growth and lift the staining from the roof surface.

The treatment restored the shingles closer to their original color and helped return the roof to proper function by eliminating the material trapping moisture and drawing more heat to the surface.

Because the homeowner was getting the property ready for sale, restoring the roof’s appearance was a priority. The cleaned roof presents much better from the street and in listing photos, which supports curb appeal and gives potential buyers a clearer view of the roof’s condition.
